С этой фм Макака почти сравнялась в характеристиках с Як-9.
Но благодаря чуть более мощному мотору Як лучше на боевом развороте и легче выполняет маневры по тангажу. Як-9 благодаря несколько лучшей аэродинамике быстрее на 35 км и лучше разгоняеться на средних скоростях.
