I'm sorry. I cannot write Russian. I read this page with Babelfish, after Uzin gave me the link.

It is a problem with East Front maps that they are necessarily very large. Often even the fighter airfields were far from the front lines. And so, one ends up making very large projects which are difficult to finish and are very difficult and slow to load and use.

I have been thinking about a solution. The best one seems to be that only a part of the map is populated for each campaign or mission. Accordingly, if the mission involves flying over Rostov, then only the area around Rostov and the departure airfield is populated. In this case, Kharkov would not be populated.

As well, it may be necessary to omit many of the little villages, if this would make the map more playable.

So there would be several versions of the map depending on the campaign which is to be flown.

It is a problem that there are a number of very big Eastern Front maps which are only half made (or worse). There is a Voronezh - Poltava map. There is a lower dnepr map. I got half way through an Army Group Centre map. And now there is a Kharkov - Donbass map. It is difficult for a single person to finish such a large map because it simply takes too much time and effort.

And thus, we end up with almost the entire Eastern Front covered with half finished, unusable maps.
