THE GUARD'S BANNER
Static campaign for pilot of 55th Fighter Aviation Regiment (55th FAR)
It was the first break after four months of bloody war. The bitterness of our losses, the disgrace of retreat, the despair of our own impotence in front of a powerful enemy's military machine were still resounding in our minds and hearts.
But a lot of events were still to come. The possibility to have a short rest, to understand our new combat experiences, to compensate for the loss of the veterans and time to train the new raw recruits.
It was also a chance for everybody to "regroup" themselves, physically and spiritually to continue the war, knowing not only how to fight, but how we can win.
It was chance to fight in a new way, to see that it was not only retreating, but also how to drive the enemy from our land, and become an example of courage and valor for others and be one of the first in the Soviet Air Force to receive the Guards Banner as the highest symbol of military prowess.
Just these events from story of 55th Fighter Aviation Regiment (later 16th Guards Fighter Aviation Sandomierz's Regiment awarded by Order of Alexandr Nevskiy) have been reflected in this campaign.

Player aircrafts: MiG-3, I-16, Yak-1.

Maps: Donbass (autumn, winter, spring, summer) by Oknevas.

Recommended rank: "Colonel" (so you can to lead a pair, a flight or a squadron).

Recommended Difficulty: Any you wish. It is recommended to turn off "No Instant Success". (light off). War is never easy and not each mission may be victorious. At the same time there is not any impossible mission in this campaign.
