Looking for mission collectors, players, and builders

Good day, I speak English, hopefully you will be able to translate this.


I know I have not posted at all around here, perhaps some of you will know me from other parts of the 46 community.

A month and a bit ago, I started a project known as the R.R.R project (Reclamation, Restoration, Reindex) for IL-2 1946. The goal of this project is to recover what is lost due to dead download links, hard drive failures, etc. What is happening right now is the 1946 community has descended into a kind of a "dark age", with the lose of data becoming more real and present every year. People at one point in time had access to loads of links, information, and campaigns, and would have downloaded those things from sites and links that are now dead. Hopefully, many still have them stored on their Hard Drives, and, through cloud sharing, can be added to the project, bringing these various lost files to light once again.

So far, we have amassed over 130 THOUSAND SKINS due to users uploading. Currently, we are looking for more skins, but more importantly, more missions/campaigns.

This is where you good people come in. I need people with collections of skins, missions, campaigns, anything else to willingly donate their files to the archive. Transfers can be completed through various forms, either through logging into supplied google drive accounts, mediafire, etc. If you would wish to send me your files uploaded on your terms, using your services, feel free to do so. You can share campaigns, but Russian-speaking players have campaigns in Russian. Will they be interesting to English-speaking players?

They will certainly be interesting to me and others! Alot of english speaking people have translated public campaigns from here into english, so anything and everything would be great!

Fantastic stuff! Whatever you have I will take (Hopefully hundreds of things as you say...), what would be the best method of data transfer? Do you prefer to upload it on your own data systems such as Yandex, or would you like a Yandex account supplied to you to log into with sufficient space (I.E. 1 TB)? By no means is this in any association with SAS. This is a public project spanning various websites. However, if you still wish your content to be withheld, I can only grant you this: Your content will not be downloaded directly, however if a different user has your content in their archives and has uploaded that to the project, it will simply be on there. I do not have near any amount of time to go through every itty bitty file and check if your content is there, I already have over a terabyte of data stored! Hope you understand, please tell me if you would like your content directly withheld as offered, of if you would like to give your blessing to this public and free project.

for me the method of transfer does not matter, I can archive the dgen folders, campaigns and missions, the folder with skins and send the archives to wherever it is convenient for you

If you could be so kind and upload them to a cloud service of your choice, and then PM or post the links here to those archives, I can download them and then add them to the archive. It is somewhat hard to have you add them directly to the archive right not, as it is not configured properly. In the future this will not be an issues. If your skins folders are too big for your cloud server account, I can purchase a yandex account for you to use for the time being... Let me know what you decide.

Splendid thanks for both! Is this all you collection or are you in the process of uploading more? Thanks again for taking the time to do that! Do you know which game versions you played these in? Worst comes to worst I can run the campaign validator on them... Thanks alot once again,

Something I found with the first batch of campaigns; some of them appear to be mission the .mis files to them... Only thing present are the videos and the properties files. I have made a list if you install still has them, could you send them over?

UM: Dogs, Lions, Marines, Wake.

UN: VF27, VF83, Cat, Clash

US: Infantry, Night, 475th, Darkest Hour, 348th.

I THINK thats the only ones with issues. Did a very brief glance through of the other countries as well...

You dont happen to have skins that would have went with these campaigns would you?

Splendid. No problem on the rushing, it happens.

Do not worry too much about English translations etc, whilst they are nice, if you have additional campaigns that are strictly in your language, by all means, upload them! This is not just a project for the English speaking community, it is a project for everyone, the French, the Italians, etc.

Is this the last of them? No problem if it is, I am just trying to make sure I get every little thing. If there are still more, simply say so, and I will stop asking until you state your done so I can stop pestering
