Firing a Sidewinder/AA2:
Concerning the CA27 and the F86F model, and for the MiG17.
You have to reheat the head of the missile 30s before using the missile (brake command on your keyboard, the same as the brakes on the ground).If you cut down your reheat; you have to wait 30s again.
Master ON, target in the reticule, distance between 900 and 2000 meters. As in the real life, the missile is armed after 800m of flight for your safety. It will detonate at around one wingspan of the target, with the proximity fuse. As in the real life, if the target is too much in evolution, you will miss it! 10% of success, no more!
The missiles are fired with the rockets command.
Let the missile search the target (first sound), let it lock, by the telemeter (second sound) and fire (same command for both missiles).The central blue light is on in the Sabre pits.
