LAGG-3 SERIES 3D MODELS

Hello , I would like to post here on behalf of a French comrade, UF_shoki; he is skinning some Lagg-3 types here:

and wonders if some improvements could be made to 3D models of various Lagg-3 series in the game:

I've noted the following mistakes in the 3D models of the different versions of the LaGG-3 in the game.

Serie 1 : ok, but there shouldn't be any slats on the leading edge of the wings. The fuselage protection plate after the exhaust stacks don't have the proper shape (to be easily modified in the skin template). Pitot tube should be straight and not crancked under the port wing.
Serie 4 : there should be only one UBS machine gun on the upper engine deck, not two as in the game 3D model. This armament, was only installed on serie 1, 2 and 3 and removed on later series to gain weight. Other points same as above.
Serie 11 : no leading edge slats and the rudder shall be straigt verticaly with still a couterbalance weight on the upper side. The exhaust stacks should be the simple model as on series 1 and 4.
Serie 29 : same as above except the rudder which is correct with no counterbalance weight and a crancked upper part.
Serie 35 : OK for me (even the larger belly radiator air scoop has been modelled).
Serie 66 : OK for me
IT model : seems OK.

Also:
I've also noticed that the propellor hub isn't correct for the serie 29, 35, 66 and IT (and certainly the propellor itself as it should be of the VISh-105 model instead of the VISh-66. The spinner shall be larger as should be the blades this following the installation of the new Klimov M-105PF instead of the older M-105PA.


Did somebody think about modifying the 3D models of these airplanes? Thanks in advance."

Modifying the 3D models? Excellent idea! But ... who can make it?

LaGG-3 serie 1 had, as if, a cleaned tail wheel, and aircrafts of late series had other spinner ...

Ok, I know, but since there is already some 3D modding work going on for I-15/I-16 types and Yak-3 (Yak-3K mod) by distinguished members of this forum, I thought that you would be interested by the Lagg-3 types also?

yes, maybe... but i think, that another planes must be reworked..... (sorry for my english )

Your English is very good! Far better anyway than my Russian... I am very sorry to post here in English...

I can understand that there are other issues with other planes; UF_Shoki was just pointing at problems with Lagg-3 series, but of course we can imagine that other planes too need to be reworked...
