Upon testing the new runway configuration at Grayaznaya Guba I encountered some problems. When launching any more than eight aircraft, four from each runway, the combination of increased drift from taking longer to launch and the propwash from more planes there are multiple collisions. Please decide if you would rather have more airfield launch capacity or the ability to spawn within the hanger. I am afraid we cannot have both. |

It seems the same problems occur at Polyarny. In this case however we are limited to launching only four aircraft. I cannot create a second runway because a hill interferes with the aircraft landing. So again the choice must be made between launch capacity and the ability to spawn inside the hanger. Please let me know your wishes and I will complete the seaplane bases accordingly. |

I may have spoken too soon! I went back to the two seaplane bases and tried to move the runway ground points ever so slightly away from the hangars to see if I could solve the problems of drift and collision. I found that as long as all the aircraft are in the water, they will drift together. One aircraft will spawn half in and half out of the hanger. I feel that this is an acceptable compromise as it will allow for the views and immersion of being close to the buildings to remain and at the same time preserve the ability to launch acceptable numbers of aircraft. The end result is quite pleasing to watch and I am sure you will approve. Polyarny will launch 12 MBR-2s and park 15. Gyaznaya Guba will launch 24 MBR-2s and park 25. I am working on the final airfield and I would like to express a concern. You have stated a desire to repopulate the airfields with hangars, camo nets, etc … I have found that what may seem like a small addition to an airfield may have huge consequences to the taxi/stay points ability to function. “Row of Trees” and “Blast Pen” seem to cause the greatest problems. With your approval I would prefer to make the additions myself so that I may test to assure that the taxi/stay points will continue to function. If you need, I can send some screenshots of the Nautsi airfield which I have repopulated with a variety of buildings and other structures. If you feel I have retained the original intentetions of your work I would be happy to continue and complete all of the airfields. Awaiting your reply. Spdr |

I understand your concern about this issue. My slightest mistake in the installation of these new facilities could lead to a big accident while landing on the ground. As a consequence, it will negatively affect the work you've done. I agree with you. I guess I really better to abandon any of its additions to the airfields that are not affected their work correctly. (Also on the map Khalhin-Gol, I encountered the same bugs for airfields) So do not worry - your upgrading airfields will be final! |

Excellent work. Regarding the construction of airfields. Jolly fine Please let us know only whether you will use objects from other packs, not related to 4.09m? If you are using, then perhaps it makes sense to do some different hangars. I mean the difference between the German and Soviet construction fields. I did a credit default objects and tried as much as possible to make distinctions among them. And now so many new objects for mods ... |

I was going to only use objects that are already on the map. This I thought would allow as many users as possible to enjoy the map without having to worry about whatever mod pack they were using had all of the objects. I am currently using UP 2.01 with the Zapolare Objects mod with the VP media improved buildings as you recommended when I first installed this map. I am thinking that by not adding custom mods from many sources the map would have a more universal appeal. If this is acceptable to you I can keep objects from German airfields on one side of the Litsa river and objects from the Soviet side on the other. Or... perhaps some screenshots or a list of objects to be used by either side. I confess to having no knowledge of which buildings would be appropriate to use by either side. My apologies. At the weekend I was out of touch access I have carefully examined your proposals. I agree with you that it is necessary to leave one option with the objects of 4.09 m. Your suggestions for the selection of objects I support. Probably will make an additional separate option for fashion pack. I especially like the objects of the map LAL Hangar Mod & MOD LAL Fortification. And of course objects Canon-UK Channel map. German Hangars for bf--109 and 110 there are very good! Your opinion? |

As of the present moment I have not added any objects to the map. I have only used what was already there. I can revisit each airfield and repopulate them with these existing objects. This will preserve the compatibility standard as it is. Mission builders can then add any additional objects that they want depending on the mod pack that they have. This I can complete in the least amount of time. However... What I WANT to do is use all of the objects available to me in UP 2.01 !!! This will beautifully complete the wonderful map you have created. This will take more time to complete than the first. I can do both. Perhaps call one “Basic” and the other “Deluxe” lol.
